Fuel economy fines to be used to pay for Ethanol pumps

AutoChannel: According to a story in Automotive news magazine, the House Energy and Commerce Committee approved a bill which will use fuel economy fines to pay for installation of ethanol pumps at filling stations. According to Rep. Mike Rogers, author of the legislation, the bill funds $30,000 grants to independent stations instead of oil companies which could double the number of E85 pumps in a year.
